Day 20: Electronics and Oscilloscopes

First, professor showed us a electron gun which used in old style TV and monitor.

This picture shows the electrons was released at every direction. When the electrons go through the slide, it will accelerate the electrons and change direction.

This is our prediction of the wave produced by the oscilloscope.

This picture shows when a battery add to oscilloscope and voltage will bigger.

There are equations we found by doing the oscilloscope activity.

Then we ran this equipment by using speaker and clip lead cable.

This a experiment on the lab manual.

These pictures are the answers for the experiment.

Then we did a activity of measuring wave forms.

This picture is the sin wave.

  This picture is square wave.

We connect a small DC wallwart to the oscilloscope and voltage is 5V and frquency is 60 Hz.

We can see it is noise.

We used a AC transformer to the input of the oscilloscope.

Then we start the mysterious box activity.

The blue color is DC and its 5V.

Nothing happened when we connect to yellow.

Then we connect to green and its 8.5V.

Last, the red one is AC.

This is the graph of the mysterious box activity.

Conclusion:
Today, we did lots of interesting experiments and activities about oscilloscope. We found lots of equations about the electrons that are in the electron gun. Then we started to do the experiment on the lab manual and answer the questions. Also, we did the experiment about DC and AC circuits. Last, we did the mysterious box activity.
